Marinelli’s – A Quarter
Century of Great Food, Family & Friends.
Serving up classic dishes in generous portions has
always been the philosophy of Marinelli’s Restaurants.
Marinelli’s has been a family affair since it’s
inception 25 years ago and that’s the way they want their guests to feel – like
family. In 1977, founder Vince opened
Marinelli’s Town Pump in Romeo, serving up pizza and ribs. Vince was following in the footsteps of his
father, Louis, who founded Lombardi’s, a family restaurant in Detroit.
In 1980, the family roots began to spread as Vince,
his wife Susan, and her brother John Stepp opened Marinelli’s in Troy, Michigan
– the Flagship restaurant. Seven years
later, John & Susan’s brother Jimmy graduated from the Culinary Institute
of American in Hyde Park, N.Y. and became a part of the team.
In 1991, Vince, Susan, John, Jimmy and the youngest
Stepp brother, David, opened a second restaurant in Fraser, Michigan. Four years later came Marinelli’s in Madison
Heights, Michigan.
Tragically, in June of ’95, we lost our founder,
Vince, to a heart attack.
But his legacy of excellence lives on. In 2000, Vince & Susan’s son, Peter, graduated from the Culinary Institute of
America, becoming the 3rd generation to forge a career in the food
service industry.
Today the family continues to stay true to their
philosophies and focus their energies on the flagship restaurant in Troy and
the newest restaurant in Madison Heights.
We are grateful to all our customers for their
friendship and patronage.
We welcome Diners
Club International® and all other major credit cards.
